Digital coefficient for Paraguay presidential elections
Albuquerque, NM, EUA
On April 22 the people from Paraguay will choose their new President. If the election were today the Digital Electoral Coefficient (DEC) points the projection of result in 49% for the candidate Mario Abdo benítez against 35% for the candidate Pedro Efraín Alegre Sasiain.
The DEC is a Data Science method derived from the information flow in digital environments without people to be directly asked about their preferences. It is done over the inference of behavioral analysis, though. In this case, instead of a thousand or two thousand people samples the analyzed volume of data rises to hundreds of thousands of people.
The final numbers derived from the digital reading mean a projection of the possibility of victory in the elections (just as happened in the USA elections). They do not exactly denote the result of traditional electoral surveys which are based in a result projection by considering how many people responded favorably to one or to another candidate (which translates into a purely quantitative approach).
The MrPredictions Science House conducts theses studies in partnership with MAPA Institute. The data about Paraguay elections are part of the activities preparation for the Prediction Engineering Lab (PELab), an initiative of MrPredictions with university of New Mexico to carry out technical-scientific studies in predictive analyses.
